Is this how they are going to start representing us, by providing false information to the masses. Here is the link to the message I am referencing as well so others may see I am not just pulling this out of thin air. www.cwalocal6320.com/directech/index.asp

Direct Tech Workers Vote for Union
Friday, June 02, 2006
Sixty-four employees of Direct Tech Southwest in Paducah voted Thursday to join St. Louis-based Communications Workers of America Local 6320.
Contract talks will begin soon, according to a CWA news release.
Workers for Direct Tech, at 857 N. H.C. Mathis Drive, do installation and repair for DirecTV in Kentucky, Illinois and southwest Missouri. The new bargaining unit consists of installers, customer service representatives and the warehouse employees.
CWA officials said they were contacted by Direct Tech employees in Missouri who were concerned about working conditions, wages and benefits. Employees in Kentucky and Illinois shared the concerns, they said.
The workers received help from the union in filing an election petition with the National Labor Relations Board, CWA)
I clearly don't remember a landslide vote. Don't get me wrong it is what the majority voted for and I will go with that for now, but to make a public statement that all eligible voters voted for the union is just outright lying, trying to make themselves look good. Should that be what we want out of the union, why couldn't they post the actual numbers? These are just questions I am curious about.
